Join Monk Parrots Performance (NYC) for a rare and intimate evening honoring the visionary work of Robert Wilson.
This evening marks a milestone — the 15th anniversary of Monk Parrots Performance — as we honor Robert Wilson and support the company’s next production, the ATOMIC war.
Artistic Director Luke Landric, Ann-Christin Rommen (Bob Wilson’s associate director for more than four decades), actress Anke Engelsmann (longtime Wilson collaborator), and other special guests (TBA) will gather for a one-night-only conversation about Robert Wilson; the legendary director and visual artist whose radical experiments transformed the landscape of contemporary performance.
This special event about art, process, and influence will celebrate Monk Parrots' 15th anniversary and also feature a first glimpse of Landric’s new image-based, music-driven play, the ATOMIC war: a cloud is best measured when it is up—a bold new work inspired by the spirit of Wilson’s early epic, the CIVIL warS: a tree is best measured when it is down.
